Story
I first met Mark almost 20 years ago, and we’ve been mates ever since.
The work that Mark has done, and the struggle and fight he’s had with brain cancer, and the on-going fight for him – and winning that fight and creating The Mark Hughes Foundation – it shows what support and progress can do to help a great cause.
The Mark Hughes Foundation funds vital research and support to brain cancer patients and it speaks volumes of Mark’s character that he used such an uncertain time in his life to create awareness and a means to help others.
I have committed to undertaking Everest Base Camp and above this October in a bid to help raise as much money as I can for The Mark Hughes Foundation.
It’s a challenging climb and I want to push myself to do well, but for me, this is about supporting something that’s greater than you, and I feel really fortunate that I can support Mark’s important work this way.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to The Mark Hughes Foundation.

Mark Hughes Foundation
The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a charity formed in Newcastle by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following Mark’s diagnosis with Brain Cancer in 2013. The Mark Hughes Foundation’s mission is to raise much needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families.
